Privacy Policy

While a child attends One Degree Academy we use the lawful basis of contract to govern how we treat a child's and that child's parents/carers data, full information on our data protection policy for this is provided at our main policy page https://onedegreeacademy.org/policies.

When a child becomes a graduate of One Degree Academy we are able to continue to use photography, film and other media in which a child is identified which has previously been published to our social media channels. We will contact you close to the time your child finishes at One Degree to ask if you would like to participate in 'Graduate Community Services'. 

'Graduate Community Services' is controlled and administered by the school (for child protection, data protection and all other legal purposes), parent volunteers who have office work backgrounds and understand data protection are given access to a list of parents/carers who wish to reamain involved with the school and access 'graduate community services'.

If you wish to exercise any of your rights as a data subject or the rights of a child as their parent/carer/legal guardian  please contact the schools Data Protection Officer at:

This site contains no identifying information of children that have attended One Degree, but contains a sufficiently randomised marker so that each student and students in their yeargroup are able to understand if that student is still in contact with the school as a graduate and any message provided by their parents/carers/guardians.
